“After graduating from Goldsmiths in London with a degree in music, Tim got his first break in the industry in the early 2000s when his band signed a record deal with EMI. The band went on to record an album with Andy Green (Paolo Nutini, Keane) before heading out on a number of tours and playing iconic festivals such as Glastonbury and V Festival.

In his post band days Tim dabbled in writing music for film but soon got offered a job at EMI in the Sync team, working primarily as a creative, before leaving to join the book publisher Faber and Faber where he led the Composer Management and Sync Publishing business – working with media composers Simon Lacey and Mark Sylvan. Tim returned to the EMI business in 2013 and now runs the sync operation for Warner Music across Europe.

In his time at Warner he has worked on hundreds of film, TV, gaming and brand deals for the 2 million strong recordings catalogue. Standout placements include work with M&S Food for Clean Bandit, putting Ed Sheeran within Pokemon, the world’s first artist and song placement within the narrative of an AAA computer game for Stormzy and Watchdogs and playing a part in securing Kate Bush’s ‘Running Up That Hill in Stranger Things, which subsequently saw the song streamed over a billion times. Most recently Tim’s team was involved with Sam Ryder’s Christmas chart race as the song was commissioned for the Amazon Prime Movie Your Christmas or Mine. In 2016 Tim cofounded W Songs, a sync focused unit within Warner Music to sign artists and composers.”
