“Maria May is a Music Agent at leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA).
Based in the London office, May and her team represent many of the world’s leading musicians, including David Guetta, Black Eyed Peas, Róisín Murphy, The Chainsmokers, Robin Schulz, Oliver Heldens, Lee Burridge, Jonas Blue, Paul Kalkbrenner, Meduza, Purple Disco Machine, Guy Gerber, Monolink, Cloonee, Eli Brown, Layla Benitez and emerging artists such as ABEL, Lanna and Joplyn.
May’s roots in dance and electronic music run deep, with almost 30 years representing many of the most innovative artists of the electronic music scene. In 2012, May was tapped by CAA to lead the agency’s expansion into dance music.
Throughout the past year, May has worked tirelessly with clients to complete impressive tours coming out of the pandemic, including 10 weekly residencies in Ibiza in summer 2023 with artists Becky Hill, Robin Schulz, Meduza Lee Burridge; David Guetta headlined multiple summer festivals, alongside strong record success and two weekly residencies in Ibiza; the Black Eyed Peas played 30 summer headline European festival shows; Paul Kalkbrenner sold an impressive amount of tickets in all major markets; and Robin Schulz headlined a number of European festivals and sold out a weekly summer residency at Pacha Ibiza, playing to 4,500 people per week.
May was inducted into the Music Week Women in Music Roll of Honour, which aims to highlight the breadth, depth, and variety of individuals who are “game changers” in the music industry, with one common theme: they are either female or their activities consistently benefit women or focus on female empowerment/gender disparity. She has also been featured on Billboard’s International Power Players list multiple times.
She also works with shesaid.so, a global community of women and gender minorities in the music industry, on their European Mentoring program, she.grows. This is a peer-to-peer mentoring program for women in the music industry.
May also sits on the board of Lady of the House, an active female-led collective which amplifies women’s contributions to the dance music industry and uplift and educate the community. May was recently appointed to the board of Beatport and is in the process of finishing her Law Degree.
