“Patrick’s career started in the indie label sector where he worked at Independiente, Blue Mountain, Zomba and legendary nightclub The End. In 2011 he joined Amazon in Seattle, relocating to their base in the UK in 2012. Over the next ten years he helped transform Amazon’s music business in the UK, where he helped to launch and grow the firm’s music streaming service, to take the number two position in the market behind Spotify. He subsequently managed Amazon’s relationships with the music industry, and in 2019 was appointed Head of Music for UK, Australia and New Zealand, a general management role overseeing the firm’s combined digital and physical music businesses.

Patrick left Amazon in early 2022 to take a leadership role in the vinyl records industry. He set up Clifton Consultants in 2023 and lists BMG, Warner Music and vinyl start-up Press On Vinyl among his clients. He also writes the Tunes and Tales Medium blog.
