“Silvia Montello is CEO of AIM, the Association of Independent Music which represents the UK’s community of music entrepreneurs including independent labels, service companies and self-releasing artists amongst its 1000+ members.

Silvia has previously held senior positions at Universal Music Group, BMG, AWAL/Kobalt, Audio Network and Association For Electronic Music, as well as music-tech startup Blokur. She founded music and marketing consultancy Voicebox Consulting in 2011, is a trustee of Help Musicians and Chair of Trustees for Music Minds Matter.

She is also co-founder of electronic music label services and publishing company #remarQabl, which focuses on developing talent from under-represented groups. She is a passionate EDI campaigner within the industry, with particular focus around levelling up representation for female/female-identifying and trans creators, ethnically diverse talent and artists from deprived socio-economic backgrounds. Recently diagnosed with ADHD, Silvia aims to help raise awareness about neurodiversity within music and how the sector can support and benefit from the vast range of neurodivergent talent.”
