“Liam James Ward is the Co-Founder & CEO of Something Something – a digital native-led content strategy studio that focuses on creative storytelling at the heart of every social media campaign. Based in London, the global agency works with artists, labels, and cultural brands to bring stories and in-person moments online. Trusted by star-studded names such as The Clash, Billie Eilish, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Declan McKenna and Disclosure, Something Something’s understanding of Gen-Z and utilizing fan accounts to supercharge strategies allows them to keep their creativity while remaining reactive in real-time. Additionally, the company is a creative strategy partner for the likes of Meta, TikTok, Google, Live Nation, and Soho House, among others, building Gen-Z-focused online strategies for them.
Before starting Something Something, Liam held various roles in digital marketing and major labels where he assisted with facilitating social media campaigns for artists including #1 albums involving The Script, Tom Walker, and The Wombats along with Hipnosis Songs’ catalog ranging from Nile Rogers to Blondie. At Warner Music Group, he held roles in A&R and playlisting where he relaunched the then-dormant playlisting brand Indie Mixtape – setting up their social media pages and utilizing meme marketing to promote its playlists.
Always leading with his love of music, the University of Huddersfield graduate started his music career at a very young age working in music shops, studios, and venues in his hometown.
