It has been a bumper year for stadium gigs, with fans rushing back and top tier talent commanding very high prices. However, at the grassroots level there is a lot of pressure on venues and the middle market has not seen the same boost in demand that the top shows have. Meanwhile, music is becoming more global and the UK recorded music sector is having a harder time breaking new talent. Is the live music industry doing enough?
